Who We Are

The New England Foundation for Psychoanalysis was founded in 1995 as a 501(c)3 organization in the state of Massachusetts.

Our Mission

Foster the use of psychoanalytic knowledge in ways that benefit the general community
Manage the Ecker Fund to distribute grants for interdisciplinary psychoanalytic projects, programs, and research to non-profit organizations
Encourage the integration of psychoanalytic knowledge and psychoanalysis with fields of education and therapy that deal with human behavior
Further relationships between psychoanalysts and educational institutions
Support research and training in psychoanalytic theories and treatment

In 2021 we received a bequest from the estate of Elizabeth Bullock. The bequest was used to create the Ecker Fund, which stipulates that the funds be used for interdisciplinary psychoanalytic projects, programs and research.
